Coconut Oil Makes Your Dandruff Worse
The fungus causing your dandruff feeds on oils. Its main fuel source is the sebum made by your pores, but adding extra oils (like coconut) is like pouring gas on the fire.
Even though coconut oil is typically antifungal, it’s also full of lauric acid which strengthens the Malassezia fungus.
Why MCT Oil Is Safe
MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil is made by distilling coconuts to remove the longer chain fatty acids - which feed the Malassezia fungus - while harnessing caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acid, which the fungus can’t use as fuel.
Tip: Some MCT oils still contain lauric acid (C12) which will feed the fungus. Ours is always Malassezia Safe.

How to Use It

Before getting your good nights rest, apply a generous amount of moisturizer to your scalp.

Relax while massaging in the nourishing formula.

In the morning, wash it out with a Malassezia-safe shampoo and enjoy a peaceful scalp all day long.
Note: If you shower at night, follow the same steps as above but allow the moisturizer to absorb into your scalp for at least two hours before washing.
For textured hair, this scalp moisturizer also works great as a leave-in since the ingredients will naturally absorb into your skin. Especially for protective styles! Simply apply it 2-3x a week (or daily if you’d like) to keep your scalp happy and healthy.

My dandruff was so bad that I was barely leaving my house because I was that embarrassed by it. I tried every product under the sun that was specifically targeting dandruff, but nothing was helping. Within the first week of using this, I could see a world of difference. I've been using it for a month now. My dandruff is 100% gone. My hair appears lighter in color. It also went from dead straight to slightly wavy.
I apply the serum in my hair every other night and wrap my hair up on a silk blend scarf to protect it. In the morning, I shampoo and condition with Dermazen's shampoo and conditioner.
I also apply some of this serum to my face. I used to have an outrageous about of redness, but that has also been greatly reduced.

I struggled with dandruff for most of my adolescent and adult life and tried a number of shampoos and steroidal treatments. None of them came close to the consistent relief that Dermazen has provided me. I experienced results right away, just from using the MCT Scalp Oil. I have been struggling with itchy scalp, flair-ups and thinning hair for years. Dermatologists could only prescribe steroids that seemed to help somewhat effective. Clearly they were not wanting to cure my issue. Had a biopsy done and was diagnosed with dermititis/psoriasis and she seemed pretty clueless as how to proceed. Instead of using prescription drugs on my scalp/skin I decided stumbled upon Dermazen while researching relief from this issue. Within days the inching was brought under control and I haven’t had a breakout since I started using the products. They are a bit pricey, which I hate, but I guess this is the cost for relief and confidence in the health of my hair and scalp. The only thing I’m waiting to see is if the condition was a cause for my thinning hair. I am male so it could be MPB, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. It’s a shame that more dermatologists aren’t familiar with this product because it could save millions the grief that I experienced dealing with a sick scalp. Thanks you for developing this product!
