Coconut Oil Makes Your Dandruff Worse
The fungus causing your dandruff feeds on oils. Its main fuel source is the sebum made by your pores, but adding extra oils (like coconut) is like pouring gas on the fire.
Even though coconut oil is typically antifungal, it’s also full of lauric acid which strengthens the Malassezia fungus.
Why MCT Oil Is Safe
MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil is made by distilling coconuts to remove the longer chain fatty acids - which feed the Malassezia fungus - while harnessing caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acid, which the fungus can’t use as fuel.
Tip: Some MCT oils still contain lauric acid (C12) which will feed the fungus. Ours is always Malassezia Safe.

How to Use It

Before getting your good nights rest, apply a generous amount of moisturizer to your scalp.

Relax while massaging in the nourishing formula.

In the morning, wash it out with a Malassezia-safe shampoo and enjoy a peaceful scalp all day long.
Note: If you shower at night, follow the same steps as above but allow the moisturizer to absorb into your scalp for at least two hours before washing.
For textured hair, this scalp moisturizer also works great as a leave-in since the ingredients will naturally absorb into your skin. Especially for protective styles! Simply apply it 2-3x a week (or daily if you’d like) to keep your scalp happy and healthy.

I suffered from seborrheic dermatitis for a long time. I couldn't keep most of the styles that I wanted because of the flare ups. After using this products, I see some reduction of the flakes. I love this product! I have struggled with dandruff for over 30 years, and it is also something my children struggle with. We’ve seen dermatologist who all prescribe the same shampoos and creams that do nothing. Being people of color we need to add moisture to our scalp and all oils caused a flare up of the symptoms. This product showed up in my feed and I ignored it as I was super skeptical because “if the doctor couldn’t help me, why should I trust a random add?” It kept showing up so I checked out the website.
